2012-02-16 Our School Nutrition Fair Rocks! Our district food service provider created an amazing Nutrition Fair for our elementary school students including games, many healthy food samplings and valuable lessons on how to build a healthy plate and healthy body. Star Jones, Elizabeth Banks and Nick Verreos entertained us with heartfelt speeches about the importance of fighting heart disease. 2011-12-02 "Wishes at Sea" Fun Run aboard Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas Use your vacation as an opportunity to get some exercise and raise money for a good cause. Royal Caribbean offers an organized 1 mile fun walk/run! While at sea on a Holland America cruise, I was so excited to be able to participate in a Susan G. Komen "On Deck for the Cure" event to benefit the fight against breast cancer. 12 laps around the ship equalled a 5k walk, no running allowed on deck for safety reasons. :-( What a wonderful way to spend a morning on vacation!
